4.On the screen Energy Efficient Home Improvements select Yes, I've made energy efficient improvements or have a carryforward
5.Continue and answer questions related to your home.
6.On the screen Did you have any of these residential clean energy costs in 2023?, Answer No and continue.
7.On the screen Did you have any of these qualified energy efficiency improvements in 2023? Answer Yes and continue.
8.On the screen Did you have any of these residential energy property costs in 2023? Answer Yes and continue.
9.On the following screen Enter Your Qualified Energy Costs use the box next to Water boilers for the cost of the furnace. If you click on the Learn More link it will describe -Enter the amounts you paid for a natural gas, propane, or oil furnace or hot water boilers
