Yes, there are multiple places to enter property taxes in Turbo Tax.
A property tax entry is in the Mortgage Interest screen because most people get that figure from their 1098 form.
There is also a second opportunity to enter property taxes under Property Taxes, because some people have no mortgage or they own additional property. If you look carefully, you will see the following message on that screen:
"If you paid any property taxes that you haven't told us about and weren't for rental or business properties, enter them here."
There are also entries for property taxes in the Rental Income section and in the Home Office section.
If you enter the same figure for property taxes in more than one place, your deduction may be too high. You can review the Deduction & Credit summary to see if your property tax figure is too high.
To review the Deduction & Credit summary, just click on the Deductions & Credits tab near the top center of the screen.
