are yiu a resident of Illinois.? if so this is a question to determine if you are eligible a state credit for the real estate taxes paid on your resdence. you must pwn the property to get the crredit.

I have a rental property thinking of selling. Gains would be around $100k. If I apply gains to my current mortgage, does it negate any taxes due?
