I work from home in my condo buildings common room - is there anything I can deduct for this?

Hi, I work from home in my condo building's  (200+ units) common room. We pay a monthly maintenance fee that includes several things - a transportation shuttle, insurance, building staff, common room upkeep, wifi, etc. Nothing is broken out separately in the monthly fee. Is there anything I would fairly be able to deduct for using the building's common room for work, and if so, how would you calculate it and where would it go in my taxes?

You are able to deduct a Business Use of Home on your self-employment Schedule C if the square footage used is regularly and exclusively by you.

Per IRS Topic No. 509 Business Use of Home the requirements are:

  1. Exclusively and regularly as your principal place of business for your trade or business;
  2. Exclusively and regularly as a place where you meet and deal with your patients, clients, or customers in the normal course of your trade or business;
  3. A separate structure that's not attached to your home used exclusively and regularly in connection with your trade or business;
  4. On a regular basis for storage of inventory or product samples used in your trade or business of selling products at retail or wholesale;
  5. For rental use; or
  6. As a daycare facility.
