I was self-employed and then started a full-time job, how do I enter that?

Enter your Self employment income as you always do. If you no longer have any, you can remove the Schedule C.

You can add your W-2 in the program as well.

If you haven't already filed your return:

  1. Open (continue) your return if you don't already have it open.
  2. Search for W-2 (upper- or lower-case, with or without the dash).
  3. Click the "Jump to" link in the search results.
  4. We'll take you to a screen where you can click Add a W-2 for [your name or your spouse's name].
  5. Enter the information from the new W-2 on the following screens.
