When was that? Took it out from what - a qualified retirement account?

COVID related distributions could only be taken in 2020 and claimed on the 2020 tax return with a 8915-E form. Did you file a 2020 8915-E form and are paying it back now or you spread the tax over 3 years?

I'm not sure that paying off a home would qualify as a financial hardship. Or did you use that money to make mortgage payments (or overdue ones) each month?
