I sold a secondary home in CT (my state of residence) but do not see where capital gains tax would be accounted for on my state tax form.

The Capital Gains were detailed on form 8949 of the federal return, but I do not see where they got transferred to the CT return.

The form 394 looks like it has been discontinued for a long time.  The TSSN-29 is also old.   I read in 1994 the capital gains tax was revoked.

Capital Gains info should transfer directly from your Federal return to your Connecticut return.

They are reportable on Form 394.

Here's info from the Connecticut Dept. of Revenue:

Since CT starts with the Federal AGI amount, Capital Gains are already included in that number, so are not specifically detailed on the CT return. <a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="https://www.cga.ct.gov/2016/rpt/pdf/2016-R-0186.pdf">https://www.cga.ct.gov/2016/rpt/pdf/2016-R-0186...>
