Yes, you can find Credit Limit Worksheet A as part of Schedule 8812. It is actually Part II - A on that form.
The most common reason to not get the Additional Child Tax Credit (ACTC) , would be that you received the entire Child Tax Credit (CTC) and there was none leftover to be used for ACTC.
The ACTC is a refundable credit for taxpayers who don't have enough taxable income to take the full CTC. The 2023 limit for Child Tax Credit is $2,000 per eligible child. If you received that amount in CTC, you won't get the ACTC.
Check line 14 on Schedule 8812. If that number is $2,000 per eligible child, then you have already received the maximum CTC and you aren't eligible for ACTC.
Another common reason to not get the credit is a child that turned 17 during 2023. In the year your child turns 17, they no longer qualify as a child for either credit and you get the Other Dependent Credit (ODC) instead.
If you still have questions about this credit after you take a look at Schedule 8812, reply back with more details of your situation and TurboTax can help you further.
