I paid property taxes already as part of our home purchase and mortgage. What do I fill out in the 1098 section if my box 10 is empty?

Property taxes that you paid at closing of your home are deductible as an itemized deduction and you enter them as shown below.

Box 10 of your form 1098 is empty because property taxes were not paid by your escrow account.

In TurboTax Online, you can enter your property taxes by following these steps:

1. Open your tax return
2. Click on Federal in the left-hand column, then on Deductions & Credits
3. Locate the section Your Home and click on the arrow on the right 
4. Click Start next to Property (Real estate) Taxes.
