Since you refinanced your loan, you probably have information on two separate 1098 forms.  You will enter them as two separate lenders.  To do this, click on the blue Add a Lender link on the Home Loan Deduction Summary screen.  This will allow you to enter the information from both forms.

Use these steps to go to the mortgage interest section of your return:

    • On the top row of the TurboTax online screen, click on Search (or for CD/downloaded TurboTax locate the search box in the upper right corner)

    • This opens a box where you can type in “mortgage interest” (be sure to enter exactly as shown here) and click the magnifying glass (or for CD/downloaded TurboTax, click Find)

    • The search results will give you an option to “Jump to mortgage interest

    • Click on the blue “Jump to mortgage interest” link
