I paid a foreign contractor over $600 ion 2024 for my photography business. Can I report as "contractor income" in general expenses since 1099 doesn't apply here?

I've seen different answers online and want to make sure. It looks like I can just report it in my expenses as contractor work, but do I need to file something? I paid through PayPal each time. Other online anwers say that if you pay through PayPal you don't need any extra forms... thanks!

Yes, you can deduct this as a business expense even though you were not required to file a 1099 for the payments made to the foreign contractor.

Just keep your records showing proof of the payment with your tax files in the unlikely event you are asked to document any expenses.
