I itemized my taxes but in the end it said standard deduction is better do you want to switch. I said yes I will switch but my refund amount stayed the same?

TurboTax starts everyone with the standard deduction.  So, if during the process of entering the itemized deductions, you don't enter enough itemized deductions to exceed the standard, the program will let you know that the standard deduction is better.  But, since it was already applied from the beginning, you wouldn't see a change in the refund or amounts due.
