I have a Form 1099-DIV with Foreign tax credit, but no countries listed for me to fill in Box 8. Any suggestions?

The foreign tax credit is entered in the foreign tax credit section.

To access the foreign tax credit section, please follow these steps:

1. Open your return and click on Search on the top of your screen.
2. In the Search box, type foreign tax credit and click on the magnifying glass icon on the right
3. Click on the link Jump to foreign tax credit
4. TurboTax will take you to a section where you can enter your foreign tax credit.

Thanks, I got that part, but then when it reviews my return, it shows that I need to enter Box 8, which requires a country.  My 1099 does not have a county listed.

If the dividends is from a mutual funds or a regulated investment company, choose RIC.

Oherwise, if your form does not indicate a country, you may need to contact your financial institution to find this information.
