Most of the qualifying vehicle are electric, or plug-in hybrids.

There are restrictions on where the vehicle was assembled, as well as materials used in assembly.

Here's more detailed info on Form 8936: Qualified Plug-In Electric Drive Motor Vehicle Credit.

Type 'hybrid car credit' in the Search area, then 'Jump to hybrid car credit' to enter details about your vehicle to see if you qualify for the credit.
