I cannot delete form 8959 even though i do not meet the threshold. Please advise.

I am trying to delete form 8959. My wife and i file jointly and none of the boxes on each of our individual W-2s exceed the threshold. Now Turbotax is trying to charge for their plus service. How do i delete this form?

The 8959 is only generated if there is an excess income for Medicare taxes.  So it cannot be deleted.

First check posting of your and your wife's Taxable Medicare and payments on your W-2 boxes 5 and 6.

Did you have any self employment income that could account for the overage?

Are you a K-1 business owner that could result in additional earned income?

For 2023, the IRMAA thresholds is $97,000 for a single person and $194,000 for a married couple.
