I bought a firearm for work as well as clothing. I can't find where to write off those purchases. The turbo tax program seems to only include office furniture/vehicles.

Search topics for "job expenses" or in the Deductions & Credits section, under "Employment Expenses".  Note that only expenses that exceed 2% of your AGI will be an itemized deduction and all itemized deduction must exceed the standard deduction before there will be any tax benefit.

Note that only work clothes and uniforms if required and not suitable for everyday use can be deducted.  If you needed a suit for your new position, for example, then it would not be deductible.
