Hurricane Florence and Disaster Relief bill

With the recent passage of the disaster relief bill, will hurricane Florence victims  be able to claim a casualty loss on taxes? This was not available previously. Trying to see if this bill fixed this issue and if so, when would Intuit update this on Turbo Tax.

Changes need to be made by the IRS first and then the tax programs follow suit when allowed ... it can take several weeks or months for a late season change to take effect. All you can do is check back from time to time and/or file an amended return later.
