How do I remove sch E from both federal and state returns for a property that was sold in 2022?

If you properly disposed of all assets in 2022, then you can just delete the forms. The program holds on to forms it thinks you need. If you are trying to delete and can't, I recommend you double check that you don't need to amend 2022 for some items missed in the sale. People know to sell the house but forget the roof, refrigerator, etc. You may need to go into 2023 and delete the assets, then back your way out deleting information until you can delete the forms.

  1. On the top right, there is a FORMS button. 
  2. Click on FORMS.
  3. Locate the form you want to delete.
  4. Click on the form name.
  5. Below the form, bottom left, select DELETE FORM button.
