How do I post $306 foreign tax credit?
Once your return is open:
- Click on Federal on the left hand side of the screen in the black area
- Click on Wages & Income
- Scroll down to Interest and Dividends
- Click Start or Revisit next to Dividends
- Clcik on Edit if you have already entered the dividend income
- On the screen where you enter your dividend income, check the box that My form has info in more than just these boxes
- Enter the foreign tax paid in Box 7
