How do I post $306 foreign tax credit?

Once your return is open:

  1. Click on Federal on the left hand side of the screen in the black area
  2. Click on Wages & Income
  3. Scroll down to Interest and Dividends
  4. Click Start or Revisit next to Dividends
  5. Clcik on Edit if you have already entered the dividend income
  6. On the screen where you enter your dividend income, check the box that  My form has info in more than just these boxes
  7. Enter the foreign tax paid in Box 7
