When you report your contribution in TurboTax the program deducts the amount from your income.

When entered as a "personal" HSA contribution as Bsch4477 indicated, TurboTax will include the amount on line 2 of Form 8889, producing a deduction on line 13 which will propagate to line 13 of Schedule 1.
