To report Casualty and theft on your return please follow the steps:

1. Log in to your Account
2. Go to Federal Taxes.
3. Go to Deductions and Credit.
4. Scroll down to Other Deductions and Credits.
5. Click start next to Casualties and Thefts.

You might qualify for this deduction if your personal property is damaged as a result of a federally declared disaster, such as a storm, flood, fire, car accident, or similar event, or if your property is stolen.
