How can I tell if I am getting a credit for paying points on my home purchase?

I purchased a home in May 2018.  I got to the end, but do not see where I was given a credit for the points I paid.

If you entered all of your mortgage information and other itemized deductions you will see a number that is NOT $12,000, $18,000, or $24,000 on line 8 of your 1040.

If you see any of the above numbers, this means you did not get the itemized deduction because your expenses were not greater than your standard deduction.  You can see this prior to paying by clicking Tax Tools>>Tools>>View Tax Summary>>Preview My 1040

If you did get the itemized deduction, you will find Schedule A attached to your return. This will only be able to be viewed once you have paid for TurboTax. The points will be included in with the Mortgage interest on line 8a.
