Federal standart deductions is $13,850 and mine showling $497 filing first time.. help !!!

Unfortunately, we can't see your tax return to to evaluate your problem.   I'll have to ask you a couple of questions.

• Are you seeing this on line 12 of your 1040 tax return?
• If not, where do you see it?
• Are you claimed as a dependent on someone else's tax return?
• Did you enter any Itemized deductions?
