Foster child

Our foster children have been in our care for 10 months, there is a monthly stipend. Do we claim them on tax return?

In general, the payments you receive from the state or another eligible entity for providing care in your home to a foster child are considered support for that child. These payments are not included in your income for federal tax purposes.
