Form 80-160

I have been asked to check and fix my 80-160. It is asking for the exemption and standard or itemized deductions for different states. If not applicable enter 0. I don't know what my exemptions are for each state or my deductions. Do I enter 0 in all amounts? I completed all of my nonresident forms first, working on MS last. All other information to was automatically transferred such as my total income, taxable income, and tax paid. But what do I enter as the exemption and standard/itemized deductions amounts?

Form 80-160

You will need to enter 0 unless you want to verify the amounts on each non-resident return you are claiming a credit from.   Each state is different, so you would need to look at each nonresident tax return to find those numbers.   Enter zero in those fields and see if your credit amount changes at all - it shouldn't.   See page 2 for instructions on completing MS Form 80-160.

Form 80-160 cannot be e-filed; it has to be printed and mailed.
