For the hsa portion its asking about paid expense for a deceased person.. why?? I'm filing my own taxes

Did you answer "yes" to the question "Did [name] inherit this HSA?" The next screen asks you about the amount of qualified medical expenses for a deceased person and the HSA account value.

Or, alternatively, did you enter a distribution code of '4' or '6' when you entered the 1099-SA? Both of these codes would indicate that you inherited your HSA and will trigger questions about expenses for a deceased person.

Please go back and check your input.

(P.S., the reason for the question is to find out if you paid for qualified medical expenses for the person who died and left you the money in the HSA in the year since the date of death. Such payments are deductible against the amount of the income that you will report when you inherit the money in an HSA)
