First year taxes question(foreign employment income)

Hi, 2024 - is the first year when I should pay US taxes(became resident alien by SPT). I lived in US starting from January 1. I am on L1(working) visa and 4 months I received salary from International branch of my company. After that I was officially employed at US branch and I start working on W-2. So, starting from May my employer paid taxes for me automatically. Taking in account the fact that in US you should pay taxes in style pay-as-you-go should I paid taxes for the first 4 month immediately or can wait till April(because I am first year payer)?

And second question, related to the first one. How actually I should pay my taxes in that case? Lets say I earned 35k for the first 4 months. It was employment income, however international employment income(so no W2), is it considered as self-employment and I should fill 1099 form?  If so, is it possible to apply for foreign tax credit? (However if my income is considered as self-employment does it makes sense at all?) .

I am glad to hear opinions, suggestions or just links to official recommendations and documentation. Thanks!
