Filing Indiana taxes. I don’t see anywhere in the software for me to take advantage of the “Residential Property Tax Deduction” that Indiana offers. I’m missing a deducti

It depends. Under the Indiana tax statutes, you are eligible for an Indiana property Tax Deductions.  First of all, you need to enter it into your federal return.

  1. Log into Turbo Tax 
  2. Go to federal>deductions and credits>your home>show more
  3. Property (Real Estate) Taxes>start
  4. Here is where you will enter your property taxes paid.
  5. Go to state and continue.  Here is where you begin working on your state return. You will begin recording information in your return
  6. Now since you reported your property taxes already in the federal return, you will eventually arrive at a screen that says Tell Us about your Property.  Here is where you record information about your property
