Do I include unclaimed property funds on my federal and/or state tax form?

My husband passed away in 2022 and I received a check from the Virginia Treasury for unclaimed property. Do I include this on my tax forms?

Generally, this unclaimed property is already yours, so you owe no tax when it is returned to you.
