Do I enter vehicle registration under both self-employment and personal tax deductions?

I entered my car registration taxes under my self-employment questions and TT said it'd figure out what portion of that can be deducted as a self-employment expense. So then do I re-enter those taxes/registration fees under the personal income deductions and credits? I assumed TT would copy that vehicle info over into that section but it didn't, so I'm not sure if I need to manually enter it into both places?

You can only claim them in one location.

OK thanks, I figured this was the case- I just thought TT would know to tell me that it was a duplicate entry if I put it both places and it didn't seem to, or didn't have any cautionary statements advising this.

I'm sure it would have caught it in the final check.  On some deductions it tells you ahead of time that you can choose one way or the other, but not both.  If in doubt, put the info in one section and then the other and see which one gives you the largest deduction.
