Deductions

I live in Texas and I am taking the standard deduction of $27700 for MFJ.  Turbo tax is listing my deductions as $269 for QBI, $27700 for the standard deduction, and -$7678 for State and Local taxes in excess of $10000.  But the total deduction comes to  $29712.  Where did the extra $1743 come from?  I cannot find anything that would explain that.

Deductions

When showing you a total deduction amount, TurboTax may also include 'adjustments' to income in addition to items labeled as 'deductions'.  Take a look at your Form 1040 Schedule 1 lines 11 through 24 to see if there are adjustments listed there that would make up the difference.

Some common adjustments are a portion of self-employment tax, self-employed health insurance, IRA deductions, HSA deductions, and other items.
