I am eligible to retire from the USCGAuxiliary in Dec this year. It is a government sponsored volunteer community service organization.
To remain an active member costs $85.00 annual dues.
Would the activity & training support deductions be a tax advantaged?
I use 10x12 office space at My get-a-way condominium for the Auxiliary training and document storage. I use my Cobalt 30ft boat for Flotilla member patrol training ( about 16 hr a month plus $250.00 in gas. Travel to lake Conroe for activities is 152 miles round trip for probably 30 trips next year.
Is it more tax cost advantage to remain a member
