Claiming Business Expenses Without an Income

In July 2023 I paid for membership in a real estate investment group. I had not purchased, sold or rented any properties in 2023 (so no income gained), but I had to pay a hefty membership fee. Can I claim this in Turbotax, and how?

You can deduct you self employment expenses on schedule C even if you had no business income in 2023.
