WHEN I ENTERED THE INFORMATION FROM THE 1098C AND ANSWERED THE QUESTIONS, THERE IS NO DEDUCTION AT ALL, MY DONATION WAS 5,400.00, WHY DOSEN'T TURBOX TAX SHOW THE CREDIT WHEN I ENTER THE INFORMATION REQUIRED?

@wmtmnoutlookcom You will only benefit when your total of all itemized deductions exceed the standard deduction. So if you have real estate taxes and mortgage interest and health care expenses you may exceed it.

The 2023 standard deduction is:

$13,850 for single filers and those married filing separately,

$27,700 for those married filing jointly, and

$20,800 for heads of household.
