Yes, you can deduct the "business" portion of your phone. The expense must be necessary and common in your profession.
As an employee, the expenses are deducted as Job-Related Expenses in TurboTax. Only the amount over 2% of your Adjusted Gross Income and the expenses are part of your itemized deductions.
Job-related expenses are located in:
- Federal Taxes
- Deductions & Credits (you may have to select See all tax breaks)
- Employment Expenses
- Job-Related Expenses
