Can my husband and I (both Lyft drivers using same car) declare auto expenses, i.e. mileage, tolls, misc expenses, as long as we do not declare the exact same expenses?

We both received 1099-K and 1099-misc which listed tolls, mileage, safe driver fees, and service fees, and we both have misc expenses including gas receipts, supplies (such as candy and water receipts, accessories for car, such as custom floor mats), and repairs. As long as we don't declare the same expenses on our separate Schedule C docs, is it okay to still list the same owned vehicle for car expense deduction purposes?

Thanks!

As long as you appropriately split the mileage between your Schedule Cs (if you take actual expenses, split the costs), and declare expenses unique to each of your situations on each one of your Cs, you should be able to take the same vehicle.
