Can I deduct MA excise tax paid for my vehicle if it is leased?
If not allowed to deduct the tax, what is the difference between leasing and buying a vehicle? I am still paying the tax, not the leasing company.

In Massachusetts, you can deduct the Motor Vehicle Excise Tax you paid on your vehicles. This would apply whether you own or lease. They are just different ways of financing.
