Can claim computer and education for side job expense

I started fulltime position as a software engineer in company. meanwhile I want to do side jobs. For that, I might need to purchase devise such as computer and schooling prior. Is this deductible.

If attending a recognized education institution your school tuition would qualify for the Lifetime Learning Credit. The computer would be a deduction when you start your new job assuming it is required.
