I own a construction company, LLC. I purchased property and intend on building a house for myself and shop for my company. Not a client facing shop, just for production and inventory. I am wondering what the best route is for financing the project. I am taking an Owner Builder loan personally for the build of the home and a Business loan to build the shop, but I'm wondering if the business can pay for any of the pre-build costs like permits etcetera, and have those costs depreciated along with the building cost of the shop. If there is a smarter way of going about this, I am open to suggestions.
