Are commissions paid to Realtors deductible for a 1031 exchange? I have applied them to basis calculation on form 8824, but can I also expense them on schedule E?

You can only use them to adjust the basis, you cannot use the same fees for an expense deduction

How about other escrow expenses (title insurance, admin fees, etc.). Are those part of the basis calculation and not expensed on schedule e as well. Is there a rule of thumb for figuring this out? Thank you for you help.
