For the first time in 5 years we did not rent our home out as an airbnb. They sent us a check for over $800 as Covid relief and at the end of the year sent us a 1099-MISC form for the amount we received. After putting it in Turbo and marking it down as a rental business but with zero days rented, Turbo said that since it was less than 15 days of rental, I did not need to report it. I understood this before since we never rented it out for more than 14 days, but getting money for doing nothing should I report as something else or not worry about it?

If you received a tax reporting document, then IRS will expect to see it reported on your return.
I don't think the payout was for rent, but instead the absence of rent (covid relief). It would be considered "other income" but still reported on line 3 of Schedule E.
Thank you. That really clears things up. Really appreciate the advice.
