15.9K in Mort Int, 10K SALT/property tax limitation, plus 5.1K charitable equals over 24K standard deduction. Looking at 31K for deductions, turbotax is choosing 24k Why?

Why is turbotax not showing the 10K for state/local taxes and real estate/property taxes?  I would assume that our deductions for 2018 would rollout as follows: taking the 10K limit amount(versus the 15K real amount, plus real estate taxes 8.3K, plus personal property taxes 1.5K) for SALT and personal property taxes/real estate taxes, plus our 15.9K mortgage interest (not impacted by tax law), plus 5.1K Charitable would equal the correct amount for deduction at 31K versus the 24K standard.  We are owning 3.7K at the moment due to this what I believe is an error in turbotax.  Been a member here since 2005 filing taxes with turbo tax.

Thank you for being a long-time, loyal customer!

Type 'itemized deductions, choosing' exactly like that in the Search window, then click on 'Jump to Itemized Deductions' to change from Standard to Itemized.

You may need to speak with a Live rep who can actually look at your tax return.

Issue has been resolved... proved to be the product not reading the mortgage interest amount correctly... results from phone help, which was great, and quick to correct $10,302.00 dollars missing from mortgage interest.  Actual resolution was “Program had a glitch where it added the amount of his mortgage into the millions not allowing clients mortgage deduction.  We discovered the glitch and put in the right amount and the program allowed the mortgage deduction he was entitled to.”  Somehow, the program had commas in the number? Not sure how they got there, but removing them and re-entering the number did resolve the problem. A happy $10,302.00 fix! Thank you TurboTax heroine, Susan.
