Why is there a consent form? it says without my consent they can't do anything else with information i provide for anything other than tax filing purposes, so why?

Having to sign a *Consent form* at the very beginning of trying to do your taxes, is extremely sketchy; especially when the consent form is identifying that WITHOUT YOUR CONSENT they cannot do anything with information you've provided them OUTSIDE OF THE PURPOSE of FILING YOUR TAXES. So this begs the question; WHY AM I SIGNING A CONSENT FORM? What is the underlying purpose of this consent form?

The reason Turbo Tax has to have this consent form is so other services can be offered. Such as refund advance, or having your tax refund applied to a Credit Karma Visa. Without your consent, we could not offer the additional services to you.
