My son works in Missouri but is a resident of Kansas.   How can I delete the Kansas state return and then redo it once the Missouri return in complete?   Or do I have to start over and do the Missouri first then the Kansas.  This is always a problem with these two states.

It's a fairly straightforward procedure.  Please see the TurboTax Help article How do I delete my state return in TurboTax Online? for guidance. 

You’ll always want to complete the non-resident state return first.

State tax law determines whether or not your son is required to file a state tax return.  You might check the TurboTax Help article Do I need to file a state return? just to make sure he’s required to file a state return for each state.
