Hi there,
I have a question about how to file if I am a remote worker. I currently live in Wisconsin, but I work remotely for a company based in MN. On my W2, it shows my MN employer withheld income from Wisconsin only. I just wanted to confirm that I don't need to file a MN return in this case, since it appears that my employer has accounted for my location already. This was the case for the entirety of 2024.
I am using the Desktop version and am stuck at the question "Did you make money in any other states". Included in that question is an example of living in one state and working in another. That is the root of my confusion. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you!

Remote workers living in Wisconsin only pay tax to, (and only file for) Wisconsin. You did NOT MAKE money in Minnesota.
