I filed state taxes on 3/8/24 and it appears my Intuit Deluxe desktop version is incorrectly calculating the kicker refund amount even though the application is up-to-date. I received a notice from OR Dept of Revenue that they are adjusting my return to correct the amount of the kicker refund. They noted the adjustment is "based on your 2022 Oregon tax return and is a percentage of your 2022 Oregon tax liability (Form 40, line 22). This year the kicker percentage is 44.28%." It looks like the adjustment is about $100 in our favor. Will the state be depositing the adjusted amount? Does the desktop application need to be corrected and updated?
Thank you.

Your refund should be adjusted automatically and deposited to the bank account entered on the return.
TurboTax correctly calculates the Kicker Credit. On the Oregon screen, Tell us about your 2022 Oregon return, you were to enter the 2022 Oregon tax liability (from Line 22 on Form OR-40). I created a test return to calculate the Kicker Credit and it was 44.28% of the the amount I entered on the screen. There is no update required at this time.
