New York Income Allocation on multiple screens

Part year resident of NY in 2023 (moved to NY Jan 2023). Work for same employer as I did in previous state.

When I land on the "New York Income Allocation" screen, it asks "Were all your wages and/or your self-employment income earned in New York State?", to which I answer "No".

I then click "Edit" and select allocate by percentage. I lived in NY for 97.5% of the year, so I enter that value.

Once I click done, it brings me to another screen that says "Tell us about your New York resident income", where it shows my total income from Box 1 W-2, and then asks "How much of the $xxx, xxx did you earn while living in New York?"

What exactly is the difference between these two screens? Seems to be asking the same thing?
