If you're a nonresident with an annual Massachusetts gross income of more than either $8,000 or the prorated personal exemption, whichever is less, you must file a Massachusetts tax return. You can delete the MA return if it is not required to be filed.
You can delete your state return by following these instructions.
Note: If you've already paid your TurboTax state fees or registered your free version with your state return attached, you can't delete your state return.
- Sign in and open a section of your return.
- From the menu, select State and then select Continue on the Let's get your state taxes done right screen.
- On the Status of your state returns screen, select Delete next to your state, then answer Yes.
