moved states, only started earning income in the second

Hi - I moved states in 2021, I started the year unemployed in GA and earned no income, do I need to file a state tax return in GA?  Thanks

If you had no income earned or reportable while living in Georgia, then, no it is not necessary to file a Georgia return.  If it is advantageous to file a full-year resident return in your current state of residence, then you may do so.  It is justified due to all of your income being reportable to that state.
