Military member from IL stationed in CA

For the past 10 years i have not paid IL state taxes when filing my state return. According to tax.illinois.gov: "Illinois does not tax military pay earned by service persons." Yet this year it is saying I owe $1,099 IL State Tax. Im confused as to why I owe this year. Can anyone explain why?

Without see what appears on your return, there is no way any of us could give a definitive answer.  All I can ask is did you have any other income than military pay?
